The Story Behind It All

Why I built Primilink

When I came back home to the Big Island after years of designing websites for clients on the mainland, I started paying closer attention to how Hawaii businesses were showing up online. What I found bothered me.

Local Hawaii businesses with real talent, real reputations, and decades of relationships in the community were consistently getting outranked online by mainland agencies and out-of-state companies. A tour company in Kailua-Kona that’s been doing it for thirty years would lose visitors to a mainland-built website. A real estate office on Oahu would get outranked by a national brokerage. A local construction firm in Hilo would lose bids to a competitor whose site loads faster and ranks higher, even though the local company does better work.

That’s the moment I knew that as part kānaka maoli myself, I had a commitment to my community. A Hawaii business should never lose a customer to someone who’s never set foot on the island.

How I work

I’ve been building websites for over 10 years, and I’ve delivered more than 50 of them across Hawaii and the mainland. Forbes featured my work. My clients have generated hundreds of qualified leads and an additional $250,000 in annual revenue from sites I’ve built.

Every project I take on, I build personally. No hired designers, no international team, no project manager handoffs. From our first call to your launch day, you work with me. That’s whether we meet over a phone call from Oahu, on Zoom from Maui, or in person on the Big Island.

Off The Clock

A bit about me, personally

I follow Jesus above all else, and the values of Christ shape how I treat others. If you work with me, you are not just a partner, you are a friend. It’s why I don’t take payment up front. It’s why I show up in person when I can. It’s why I tell people honestly when I’m not the right fit instead of taking on a job I shouldn’t.

I’m based in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island, and I serve businesses across all the Hawaiian islands. When I’m not building websites, you’ll find me with my family, in the water, or at church.

What I believe about good web design

A good website is a tool, not an art piece. Three jobs, done well.

Speed is non-negotiable

Especially on mobile, where most Hawaii business searches happen. A website that’s slow or broken on a phone loses customers in seconds, no matter how good it looks on a laptop.

Visibility wins customers

When people search for tours, contractors, or real estate in Hawaii, your business should be one of the first names they see, on Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews.

Design earns the click

Showing up isn’t enough. Once they land on your site, your design, social proof, and journey must make choosing you the obvious next step over any mainland competitor next to you in search results.

If you’re a Hawaii business looking for a website that actually grows what you’ve built, I’d love to talk. The first call is free, no pressure, no money up front, and I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a website cost with Primilink?

Websites at Primilink cost between $3,500 and $7,000, depending on scope. That includes design, development on WordPress, copywriting, SEO setup, and launch. You pay nothing upfront. You pay only after the site is built and you’ve approved the finished product. If it’s not right, you don’t pay.

Most Primilink websites launch in 4 to 6 weeks. That covers onboarding, drafting, two rounds of revisions, and launch. Projects move faster when you’re responsive with feedback inside the revision dashboard. Every site is built by one person from start to finish, so there are no handoffs slowing things down.

With pay-after, you sign a contract and authorize payment, but no money leaves your account until the website is built and you’ve approved the finished product. If I don’t deliver what we agreed on, you don’t pay. Most agencies ask for 50% upfront. At Primilink, you don’t pay a cent until you love it.

Yes, completely. You legally own the website and all its content. It’s hosted on my server for speed and reliability, and you’re free to transfer it to any host you want at no cost. I also register your domain in your name from day one, never in mine. Full ownership stays with you.

Every project includes two rounds of revisions. You leave comments directly on the draft through a shared dashboard, so feedback is specific and easy to act on. If after two rounds it still isn’t feeling right, we keep working. I don’t get paid until you approve the site, so I’m fully invested in getting it right for you.

Do you handle SEO and Google Business Profile too?

Yes, every Primilink site includes on-page SEO, schema markup, fast loading, and mobile optimization built in from the start. I’ll also set up or clean up your Google Business Profile, which is one of the strongest ranking factors for Hawaii businesses in local search. Ongoing SEO is available as a monthly add-on if you’d like to keep growing.

Every site is built on WordPress with Elementor Pro. WordPress powers roughly 43% of the web, which means your site stays portable, easy to update, and supported by developers everywhere. Elementor lets me build and revise quickly, and it makes it easy for you to update your own content later without needing to call a developer.

Both work. If you already have a WordPress site, I can rebuild within your existing setup. If you’re on Wix, Squarespace, or something else, I’ll move you to WordPress as part of the build. The only exception I may make is if you’re an Ecommerce brand on Shopify or if you’re on Framer. Either way, you keep your domain, your content, and any SEO history you’ve already earned.

Yes, Primilink serves businesses all across the US. I’m based in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and most of my clients are on the mainland. Everything runs smoothly through a shared project dashboard, scheduled video calls, and async comments on the draft. Time zones haven’t been an issue on any of the 50+ sites I’ve built.

Primilink works with established Hawaii businesses across tourism, real estate, construction, hospitality, retail, and professional services. Most clients are tour operators, real estate offices, contractors, and local service businesses doing at least $200,000 a year in revenue. If your business is rooted in Hawaii and ready to grow online, I’d love to talk.
